Kicked out of her band & fired from her job, aspiring rockstar Dewey Finn decides to pay her rent by impersonating her best friend Ned Schneebly, as a substitute teacher at Horace Green Preparatory School. Outraged that her students know nothing about Rock ‘n’ Roll, Dewey takes it upon herself to educate them using her own methodologies leading to them entering her dream contest ‘The Battle of the Bands’. However, with the watchful eyes of Rosalie Mullins ever close by as well as concerns from parents paying thousands per term in school fees, Dewey has her work cut out!
